NEUROLOGY AND TRAUMA RESEARCH FOUNDATION
Preserving Memories for Life
The Neurology and Trauma Research Foundation (NTRF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit medical research organization dedicated to preserving memory, protecting cognitive function, and improving lives through pioneering neuroscience research and therapeutic innovation.
Our mission is to advance new diagnostics and therapeutics for neurological and central nervous system (CNS) disorders, including:
  • Concussions and traumatic brain injury (TBI)
  • Blast-related neurotrauma
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE)
  • Parkinson’s disease
  • Vascular dementia and other neurodegenerative disorders
  • Diseases associated with mitochondrial dysfunction
Through scientific collaboration and clinical research, NTRF works to transform discoveries in neuroscience into safe and effective treatments that restore cognitive function and improve quality of life.
Protecting Brain Health Through Science
NTRF is committed to advancing therapies that address the underlying biological causes of neurological disease.
Our work focuses on:
01
Translating scientific discoveries into clinical treatments
02
Supporting innovative diagnostics and therapeutics
03
Accelerating clinical trials for neurological disorders
04
Improving access to treatments for underserved populations
Protecting memory and cognition is essential to preserving human identity and quality of life.
Advancing New Diagnostics & Therapeutics for neurological and central nervous system (CNS) disorders, including:
Concussions and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)
Blast-related Neurotrauma
Autism Spectrum Disorder
Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE)
Parkinson’s Disease
Vascular Dementia and other neurodegenerative disorders
Diseases associated with mitochondrial dysfunction
Research Focus: Advancing the Science of Neuroprotection
NTRF supports research programs investigating therapeutic approaches that:
Address oxidative stress and inflammation in the brain
Restore mitochondrial function
Repair neuronal damage
Support neuroregeneration and synaptic plasticity
Improve cognitive recovery following brain injury
Our strategy prioritizes therapeutic candidates that:
Are supported by strong scientific evidence
Target multiple biological mechanisms involved in neurological disease
Address root causes of cellular dysfunction
Can reach patients more rapidly than traditional drug development pathways
Current Clinical Research: The Jerry Kramer Neuro Studies™
The Jerry Kramer Neuro Studies are a series of clinical trials designed to investigate an innovative therapeutic candidate for treating concussions and traumatic brain injury.
The studies are to evaluate:
Safety and tolerability of the investigational therapy
Cognitive recovery following concussion
Reduction of oxidative stress in the brain
Improvement of neurological function
The clinical trial program is designed to address the growing global burden of neurotrauma, particularly among athletes, military personnel, and individuals exposed to repeated head injuries.
The Montagnier Studies™
The Montagnier Studies are a series of clinical trials designed to investigate an innovative therapeutic candidate for treating Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
The studies are to evaluate:
Safety and tolerability of the investigational therapy
Improvement of neurological and behavioral function
Improvement in detoxification
Reduction of oxidative stress and inflammation in the brain
The clinical trial program is designed to address one of the root causes of a multifactorial family of complex diseases, one associated with over 70% of Autism Spectrum Disorder patients.
Investigational Therapeutic: XMR99B
XMR99B is a patented therapeutic compound designed to support neurological recovery following traumatic brain injury.
The compound is designed to:
Cross the blood–brain barrier
Stabilize neuronal membranes
Support mitochondrial repair
Reduce inflammation and oxidative stress
Promote neuronal regeneration and neurotransmitter balance
Why This Clinical Research Matters
Neurological injuries and neurodegenerative disorders represent one of the fastest-growing health challenges worldwide.
Research has shown alarming statistics regarding long-term brain injury:
A significant percentage of former professional football players show evidence of chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE).
Repeated head trauma is associated with increased risk of dementia.
Concussions trigger oxidative stress, inflammation, and neuronal dysfunction that can lead to long-term cognitive decline.
NTRF’s research aims to intervene earlier in the disease process and restore brain health before irreversible damage occurs.
